Why We Exist

The mission of the Board of M&A Standards, as the sanctioning body for the M&A community, is to improve results by assessing and endorsing various programs, practices, affiliations and tools that will benefit M&A practitioners.

The Board of M&A Standards is a not-for-profit organization created to “give back” to the M&A community. It is an independent organization and the primary sanctioning body for merger and acquisition needs such as:

  • Practices
  • Tools
  • Training
  • Certification programs
  • Printed resources

Members of the board assess offerings in these categories; the board will endorse, recommend, and accredit their findings, which are published within this site and made available for everyone.
